Seabeck, a historic mill community on the Hood Canal waterfront was once a bustling seaport that dwarfed Seattle in population. Few traces remain of its early logging years. Seabeck offers some of the most spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains from the Kitsap Peninsula. The snow capped mountain peaks appear to be soaring up out of an Alpine Lake. Dotting the waterfront are a general store, gallery, dockside pizza place, post office and the Seabeck Conference Center. Scenic Beach State Park is nearby where you can enjoy picnic and camping areas. The marina offers moorage and a fuel dock, as well as the Marina Beach Launch. Seabeck makes a great base camp for the many activities available on the Hood Canal. Don’t miss Barbie’s for some good old fashion cooking.
